|
ASEANZ 2009Session on the benefits of revascularisationAt this session the data on benefits of re-vascularisation for coronary disease was reviewed. The lack of benefit, in terms of reduction of myocardial infarction or death, of percutaneous intervention for stable coronary disease was confirmed. In Australia, more than 50% of the public health funding is spend on cardiology, it has possible that restrictions will be imposed to particularly for percutaneous intervention to rein in these costs. |
